Tonight’s Bootleg Disco was a UNIQUE and BEAUTIFUL snowflake, er, show. We had a distinct lack of Tim (in person, he graced us with his voice later in the show), and a very noticeable helping of Jess and Kermath. We played yonks of new songs, some of which may even have been good. I guess that is up to you, the listeners, to decide. The listener amount was nearly as high (12) as last week, which we attributed to there being two vaginas in the studio, talking into the microphones. The vaginas weren’t talking. The tracks played were (in this order):
Thieves Like Us – Really Like To See You Again
Dizzee Rascal (feat. Armand van Helden) – Bonkers
Cheatahs – Some Powers (cassette version)
Coconut Records – Microphone
Nouvelle Vague – Blister In The Sun (No link, because we are LEADING THE PACK. Heck yes!)
Pocketbooks – Footsteps
The Crack Babies – She’s A Star
Magic Wands – Black Magic (xx remix)
Sonic Youth – Sacred Trickster
What an amazing line up of songs! Podcast that bitch!
As the late, great Kurt Vonnegut said:
“When a woman gives birth to a crack baby, you do not buy her a puppy!”
Er I mean, “So it goes.”

The video I mention in reference to the Dizzee/AVH track is actually the one for AVH’s remix of Signs by Bloc Party: http://vimeo.com/3685706
